Student from Lame Deer High School Visited Me Today

Lame Deer reservation is south east of Billings Montana and about 3 hours from where I live. The student and several adults drove to my little town today to meet with me and watch me sculpt.
The children are members of the Norther Cheyenne. Direct descendants of warriors who fought at the battle of the Little Big Horn, or more commonly known as, Custer's Last Stand. What an amazing heritage these young people share.
Every attempt was made to wipe out these people back in the 1800s, and yet they survived. Talk about tenacity and courage.

Photos from today.
